Streamline Digging Flow

Issue #3714 resolved
Cass created an issue

Currently digging requires a lot of inventory micromanagement - for instance, to mine a single wall with a pneumatic jackhammer requires taking the following steps:
1. Go to inventory
2. Scrolldown to weapons
3. Select the Jackhammer
4. Equip the Jackhammer
5. Exit Inventory
6. Use your dig hotkey
7. Select the wall to dig and confirm
8. Wait for digging to conclude
9. Go to equipment
10. Re-equip your left hand weapon
11. Re-equip your right hand weapon
12. Re-equip your “On Back” equipment

Thats a lot of button presses - plus half the time I forget to re-equip my actual weapons and wander around bashing shit with a jackhammer and wondering why it’s taking so long for everything to die.

There are a few ways this could be made much simpler:
- Digging Tool Slots: Like Missile Weapon slots, these are slots specifically for digging tools that are used instead of your weapons when you attack a wall, or perhaps just when you use the Dig action. This one was Gnarfs idea.
- Mark as Main Digging Tool: Mark a tool in your inventory as your main digging tool, granting you the Dig action. When you use the dig action, your Main Digging Tool is automatically equipped for the duration of the dig.
- Inventory-Smart Digging: If you have a Digging Tool in your inventory, you have the Dig Action. When you use the dig action, it automatically uses the best digging tool in your inventory.

There are loads of other ways it could be made better, at the moment dig-focused playstyles are (at least for me) far too fiddly and require far too much inventory micromanagement to be enjoyable, which is a shame, because I wanna play Qud like Minecraft.

this is mostly about loadout management which makes me think it isn’t super resolved, but probably all we should really do about it is add some loadout management
