Swipe without Long Blade Proficiency

I learned the swipe skill from a historical site relic, but I don’t have any other long blade skills.

Activating swipe without a long blade equipped does not pop up the normal “cannot be used without a long blade” message, and the skill does nothing. Maybe it should have a pop up for “cannot be used without an active stance” or something.
