Twinning lamprey and love injectors

If you hit a Twinning Lamprey with a love injector, then kill it's twin, the twin will re-spawn as a permanent ally. Killing the originally injected twinning lamprey will then cause it to also re-spawn as a permanent ally. I see they were changed to follow the party leader on re-spawn on 26/DEC/2020, and simply want to be certain that the love injector's turn timer getting removed is not an unintended consequence.
