Zone Border AI

So I think it’s well known that the AI doesn’t do great things at zone borders (including stairs).

I have what I hope is a pretty simple suggestion which gets around trying to make the AI more effective at killing you (which is tricky since there are real rule differences when traversing borders).

Simply put:

If the AI is attacked by something* from outside their current zone then the AI will set it as their goal to be exactly 1 tile away from the point they were when attacked** until they get an event that causes them to have a more urgent goal.

*Possibly limit this to ‘the player’ to limit unintended side effects, although I can’t think of any.
**In the case of wall-borders it might be worth also having them prefer to be at least 1 tile away from the zone bounds
