With further testing, it’s not actually vertically offset, but vertically scaled.

In the “look” mode, clicking on tiles near the middle of the screen works about correctly, but clicking at the bottom requires placing the cursor a bit lower than the desired tile, and clicking at the top requires clicking higher (as in the example video provided)
