So I noticed this and it is especially visible with a PD drone – the game will offer to reload every equipped energy weapon even if it really doesn’t need to be reloaded. (It is visible under other less normal circumstances, though, for example if you’re wielding a lead loaded pistol in one hand and a energy pistol in the other.)
My personal suggestion would be for reload to be offered for these weapons only if:
- Charge is below 30% OR
- The weapon is effectively out of ammunition (for example a phase cannon with a solar cell even at max charge would be an appropriate thing to reload)
(Alternatively you could do a calculation on how many shots are left and pick some % or # at which reloading is generally desirable.)
