you can currently disable the shimmering visual effect on the options menu, but it's impossible to disable on the player menus (inventory, etc), or on the playscreen. this effect made me really nauseous in real life, especially when applied to text, so an option to disable it on in-game menus and another for everything completely would be really appreciated for accessibility.
