Game not launching on Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7?

Has anyone else been unable to run the game since the last update? when I launch the game in Steam it seems to get stuck on the "Freehold Games" Logo screen during startup.

I've tried relaunching steam, and restarting my computer, but neither seem to have had any effect.

Is this a known issue? I also recently installed a Catalina Security update (between last time I played and now) but I doubt that's relevant.

Finder also does NOT list the application as "not responding" so... it's not exactly a crash?... but it's certainly not working. Game window is completely unresponsive even when left open for multiple minutes.

I am playing on a Macbook Pro (Retina, 13 inch, Early 2015) and have had no issues up to this point. Any help would be appreciated! I hope I can be of help in diagnosing this issue. I can give you whatever more info you need on the off chance this hasn't happened to anyone else yet.
