Similar thing just happened to me. Q Girl became hostile to the other barathrumites and 4-5 of them died before they took her down. Gonna make it really hard to beat the putus templar. Just before this happened, I had gone down the stairs in the NE of grit gate, went down ~10 strata and then back up. Once I came back up I noticed an albino ape wandering around grit gate, which I thought was odd, but figured it had come up through those stairs an ignored it. After the barathrumites massacred each other, I noticed the ape was dead too, so I think maybe q girl used quills or some AOE against the ape, which accidentally hit another barathrumite and turned them all against her.
