Got Lost and Spawned Surrounded by Shale Walls

I was traveling around the overworld map, and got lost in some Desert Canyons. When my character spawned, I appeared on a map edge and was completely surrounded by shale walls. I couldn't move South, either. Only getting a "The way is blocked by some shale" message. I attached my game save, in case you want to take a look.
