Character Creation menu descriptions are written on top of other UI text

Character options with long descriptions are written on top of the "Points Remaining: #, [R] Randomize, and [Delete] Reset Selection" text ribbon and it is very difficult to read. The "Points Remaining, etc..." ribbon seems to be bound to the bottom of the window (I'm playing in windowed mode btw). The start of the option's description is bound to the same height above that ribbon no matter how narrow the window is, but for long descriptions there is no scroll bar, and the text simply cuts off suddenly at the bottom of the window after writing over any other text in it's path

I'm playing on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015), and it's running Catalina 10.15.7 Graphics: Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB
