Failure to launch, continued

Upon launching the game, the screen shown in the screenshot appears and there’s no way to progress. I wasn’t sure how to delete my local save directory so I went to my application support folder and deleted all the Caves of Qud local files, and also went into the Steam application support area and deleted all the CoQ files there. Then I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game. The same thing still happens.
