Thawed to a previous state of Joppa

Playing on roleplaying mode, I was storing items inside chests in the Joppa house with two baskets, immediately west of the warden. After coming from a dungeon, I stored some items, gathered others, and set out to Grit Gate. After a while inside Grit Gate, I recoiled back to Joppa, to find the items from my last stop there missing, and a duplicate of those I had previously stored there, but picked up during that last stop, such as an exact copy of a painted iron mace, with the exact same scene painted on it.

Essentially, it seems to have reverted the state of Joppa before I came back from the dungeon.
