Message (jump):

<roboticvenusian> i realize this was wont-fixed last time it was put as a suggestion, but the concept of a phylactery, a historically jewish religious tool, as a tool for evil magic in dnd and beyond is largely considered anti-semetic by jewish folks including myself, so for the sake of making others and myself more comfy, the templar's phylactery should probably be changed to something not. that

Huh I never knew! I’ll have to see what the CoQ team changes it to so I can crib it for my D&D games in future :D

Noting your feedback, thanks for giving it. We’re comfortable keeping it as is given the full history of the word ('phylactery' having a broader use historically than the more specific 'tefillin').
