duplicating rusted items by repairing

I was at the grit gate selling to one of the vendors I had 2 combat shotguns in my inv, one normal and one rusted. When using the repair feature in the trade inv, the separate entry for the rusted combat shotgun remained (while fixed) while also adding a shotgun to the normal shotgun stack. This effectively gave me a free water's worth of an item as the fixed item could be sold without losing the added item in the normal stack.
