<Siobhan, A Normal Squirrel (Any Pronouns) [R🔥G🌲B💧]> Not sure if known bug or not. Lately, when disassembling items, I am only occasionally getting a message describing the tinkering parts I'm getting. This seems to happen most often when I disassemble an item that's in a chest, but it's now started happening in my inventory as well. I appear to be getting the scrap as normal, it's just not telling me which scrap I'm getting.
EDIT: Upon further experimenting, it only seems to happen with items that only drop one type of scrap, which leads me to believe this may be intended behaviour.

This is in fact intentional,
DoBitMessage
is responsible for not showing bit strings of a single bit. However, quite a few people spoke up and said this was unhelpful, and I’d agree, since it also applies to auto-disassembling things off of the ground where you don’t even see what bit it is (you only get the name of the scrap). All in all it doesn’t seem like a very useful feature to have. -
