Gunrack implant shows in inventory when installed, becoming impossible to uninstall if dropped

If I install gunrack it both installs and goes into inventory with reduced menu options, though the drop hotkey still works. if I drop it in this state I get a permantenly equiped bugged gunrack that the nook recognises and claims to remove without doing anything. picking it up again doesn’t fix it. If I destroy the dropped implant then the equiped implants and nook menues show the slot as “*PooledObject” instead of gunrack.

If, instead of the above, I uninstall then it shows in inventory twice and is weighed twice but if I install again it reverts to just being installed and in inventory.
