<cantorsdust> Bug: if you have all available mutations and none left to purchase, and you choose to purchase a new mutation at the character menu, no mutation points are spent. But if you get a level up message at a level ending in 5 asking if you'd like to spend 4 mutation points to buy a new mutation prior to rapid advancement, and you have none left to purchase, 4 mutation points are still spent. One of these is wrong. (why yes I am still in my very high level linear XP leveling run, how did you know?)
