Sphynx salt injector + Galgal caused stacking deaths, died "in the vision", had to respawn.

Activating a sphynx salt injector before facing a Galgal, I died multiple times in my vision, prompting the sphynx salt injector to say "you sense your imminent demise" multiple times, each time I said to return, but the deaths seemed to stack, so once I returned from my vision, I had the screen say that I died and I'd need to reload from a checkpoint.

I'm in the game mode where I can respawn from checkpoints.
