Low HP warning interrupt does not properly interrupt even though threshold has been passed

Issue #6650 resolved
Former user created an issue

I was a level 15 character in a level 1 or 2 dungeon, with powerful equipment and more than enough AC to not need to worry under normal circumstances, so I proceeded to hold Shift+A to clear the first stratum. On the second stratum, I did the same, however this time I died due to the low HP warning not actually occuring when my HP was low. I am no programmer of this or any other game so I don't know how it works but it seems to me like rather than being a true interrupt, it was just placed at the end of some kind of invisible input queue (which if is the case, is a questionable decision for a Roguelike, if intentional).

I have attached my tombstone file, but will also paste the most relevant part here for your consideration. My character had 68 or so max health at the time, so the 40% low HP warning should have triggered before I could die from 4 and then (6 Poison) damage in a single turn.

ú On the 21st of Shwut Ux, you died of poison.
