UI clarity regarding the nearby items list and message log.

I like the efficient allocation of ui space with the nearby items dynamically resizing above the message log, but I find it difficult to differentiate between an item and a message at a glance. I think it would be much easier if the background of the nearby items list were a bit different. I whipped up an example of what I mean in the attachments, with a comparison to what it looks like normally.

Against a white background, it’s tough to notice, but it’s pretty vague in the first place. I’ll make it a little more obvious.
