I do play on my desktop also, but this happens even if I'm on my laptop, save the keybinds, then close & immediately reopen the game.

My desktop & laptop both save to the same dropbox folder that both have access to, both have the dropbox folder in the same /user/username location on Windows 10. My desktop doesn't have issues keeping its non-default keybinds.

There's only one [username].keymap.json in the dropbox CoQ folder as expected, but I'm not able to understand it well enough to tell if the keybinds are default.

For player.log, the one in the default location (Freehold Games) was updated just today-- but the one in my dropbox save folder hadn't been updated since 2021. My saves are correctly updating from either laptop or desktop, just not player.log.

So I renamed the player.log in the dropbox folder to player.bak, then reloaded the game, changed keybinds, saved them, & exited the game. The Freehold player.log updated, & there wasn't a new player.log in the dropbox folder, but when I relogged, my keybinds were default again. It's so weird that my desktop keybinds don't reset to default, just my laptop's.

Oh: also found a [name].keymap.xml from 2020. Renamed it to .bak, but keybinds still reset.

Attaching keymap, player.log, and also adding playeroptions just in case it matters. All but player.log are from the dropbox folder, and player.log is from the Freehold folder.

New info: keybinds are not saving correctly on my desktop, not just my laptop-- I tried to change two keybinds and they reset every time I exit. Options & save files save/update just fine on desktop & laptop, though.

My mod list is also not updating, in a way: I have the option checked to make me confirm script mods every time they change, but I’m asked to confirm the same script mods every time I restart, even if it’s only been a few minutes since I restarted so I know they can’t have changed yet.

I confirmed changes on the Qud tutorial mod several months ago, and that confirmation remains, but any mods I’ve added since require me to confirm changes every time I restart.

Some of the keybinds I changed on my desktop back in 2020 have stayed changed correctly-- that’s why I thought changes were working for them on my desktop.

tldr I changed my save location to dropbox, and switch between keyboard & laptop with it. My saves/options save correctly on both desktop/laptop, but keybinds don’t & mod script change confirmations don’t-- changes/confirmations from many months ago remain changed/not default-- just not any new ones.
