Game suddenly started being extremely slow

I have no idea what have caused this but now each game turn takes about 5 seconds (or even more).

My actions before the problem occurred:

1. Completed Golgotha quest and got sore throat;
2. Returned to Grit Gate and bought a recoiler to palladium reef;
3. Teleported to palladium reef, visited Yd;
4. Tried to explore more of palladium reef but the game became slow.

I then tried to teleport back to Grit Gate but it didn’t restore performance.
