interdimensional hunters appearing in the thin world?

when going through story to talk to rainwater shomer interdimensional hunters can appear and attack them repeatedly im not sure if this is intended behaviour because their attacks hit the door to brightsheol and rainwater damaging them this could potentially prevent further gameplay if rainwater dies etc.
