<A Blessed Feline> Also, even when finally realizing what an object is, the game only says "You make some progress understanding the metal folding chair". I swear there was a different message for fully understanding an arifact before, different from making some progress.

I don’t believe there was, but possibly we might like to make one? It does currently say (and as far as I recall always said) the same thing for progress resulting in partial understanding and progress resulting in full understanding.
