Corpus Coliys Fungus Removal Problem

My Corpus Choliys said to eat a bloated leech corpse then spray unctuous purtrescence on the fungus. Eating the corpse made me feel sick (instead of the queasy line the wiki mentions) and then spraying the fungus gave the message "Your skin itches furiously." (correct liquid, wrong corpse according to the wiki).
