Creature sounds are missing?

Noticed on a new save, tested with and without mods : snapjaws and oozes don’t make their sound on defeat for example. And I think no creature do any now, but BetaSounds is still enabled and new weapon sounds seem to play correctly.
Didn’t notice any sound related message in the log. Intentional change maybe?

Using the debug Write played sound filenames to the log does show Sounds/Creatures/VO/sfx_creature_animal_snapjaw_vo_hurt
Edit: Turret defeat sound does play, breaking trees too but not snapjaw fort planks. Maybe being replaced?
