"You regain your bearings" message never appears

"You regain your bearings" message never appears, probably when the roll for the amount of new maps uncovered before the “You regain your bearings” message should appear is zero. I noticed this after getting lost multiple times and then attempting to go to the world map immediately after going to the next map section without getting the message. I’ve done this twice.
