[beta] phantom "wait one turn" inputs?

possibly related to issue #8900, except i’m experiencing it on KB+M with no gamepad attached. all i did on this turn was input “4” on the keypad to bump attack west. i’ve also directly noticed it with solo NE keypad inputs, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s possible with any directional input. can’t tell if it happens outside of combat.

all i've been doing is delving under grit gate, but i'm noticing significant slowdown/hanging between each turn which leads to sluggish response and occasionally eats inputs. i wonder if the phantom keypresses are related to inputs made while it's hanging/calculating? but it's not like i'm pressing any buttons that would lead to my character waiting
