<samv123> I was not able to navigate with the arrow keys or esc out of the High Score screen until I moved my mouse pointer over the section headings (Local Scores, Daily (stream), Daily (friends)) first. Not sure if this is relevant but there are no personal high scores currently for me on that screen because I deleted the contents of the appdata folder before I switched to the beta.
