Beta: can't escape "Game Deleted!" dialogue after deleting the last saved game

This is an extension of issue #8985 (https://bitbucket.org/bbucklew/cavesofqud-public-issue-tracker/issues/8985/beta-bugs-in-the-beta-after-deleting-the). It looks like this issue temporarily disappeared between 205.49 - 205.52, and then resurfaced in 205.53 (I’ve attached videos that I recorded from 205.52 vs 205.54). This bug persists in 205.59.
