are successfully barred from changing the state of a door when callingAttemptOpen
, ifAttemptClose
is called directly then they are not checked. while this seemingly can be worked around by only usingAttemptOpen
instead, it might be nice ifAttemptClose
checked for this
- a creature such as a grazer attempting to use the close interact option is told, e.g., "You cannot open the brinestalk gate.". i think it should say "close" instead. this is observable without mods

ugh this should just be rewritten to not duplicate the same checks 4+ times
