I imagine this would be an unintentionally powerful tool for a chimera, since each high-grade skin glitter grants a +16% chance to refract and there's nothing to stop you holding as many as you want

related feature request: make RefractLight an active part to prevent exactly this type of tomfoolery (and also allow greater control over modded light-reflacting items)

hand based refractive shields have a greater refract chance (30%) on top of being everything else they can be, I think it would be cool to fix it for modding purposes but restore the functionality in another way for shits and giggles since it’s not too offensive in power
