Baboons aggro behind closed doors

I shut myself behind a closed door then killed a legendary baboon with sunder mind while using clairvoyance. I expected mobs to not “see” but they aggroed anyway. I was wearing two neck rings, which also terrified the baboons even while I was behind the door.
