When did jgi_summarize_bam_contig_depths get updated?

Hello Rob - I have a quick question after I came across your conversation with Ben Woodcroft regarding discrepancies between depth output from jgi_summarize_bam_contig_depths and CoverM.

I have Metabat2 version 2.12.1, but when I looked at the modified date of jgi_summarize_bam_contig_depths in my conda env directory, the date is Oct 9, 2018. I installed Metabat2 using bioconda. I’m assuming the Bioconda version has not been updated. Do you think that is the reason why my jgi_summarize_bam_contig_depths command is from 2018 rather than 2019 which is when you updated the way jgi_summarize_bam_contig_depths?

The condo / bioconda was never something that we made and I don’t know who supports it (likely no-one) or what version it snapshotted.

The issue you are referring to is #48? That was fixed in Jan 2019, and I believe made it into v2.13. The latest version is 2.16 that was released this past spring 2023.
