Where can i find a detailed description/documentation of "ensemble binning"

Hello,

You provide a description on how to invoke "ensemble binning" in your examples/tutorial. But where can I find a description of the actual underlying principle? I could not find it in the metabat paper and can't seem to find a link to it on the metabat repository's main page.

I would be very interested in knowing what exactly is happening in this workflow before applying it to my data.

Hi John, ensemble binning is a way of improving sensitivity by combining multiple metabat running without changing parameters. We plan to include it in the next metabat 2.0 publication, but in our experience, it improves binning quality in most of cases, so I suggest you to try it. Thanks.
