Can pointer-to-shared arithmetic be specified in terms of the / and % operators of the C language?

For self-consistency, can pointer-to-shared arithmetic be specified in terms of the / and % operators of the C language? (If such a definition appears too complex, then perhaps pointer-to-shared arithmetic is too complicated?)
