Timer wakeup from Shutdown should go to Standby mode

Issue #107 resolved
Ian Brabham created an issue

When a timer cause the unit to wakeup from the Shutdown state it currently goes to fully on state it should go to Standby state.

Going to fully on can cause issues with triggering smart input selection on AV receivers, etc ...

This may need changes to the Micom front panel firmware to distinguish user power on versus timer event wakeup.

Reproduction steps

  • Set a record timer.
  • Put the unit in fully Shutdown state.
  • When timer is due unit boot to fully on state, it should only go to Standby state.

Probably very related is the power management timer "Wakeup to Standby" also does a fully on Wakeup.

As for "triggering smart input selection on AV receivers" we are probably screwed here as the boot loader turns on the video out.

Thinking about this some more, I think it is actually a bug and have changed it from a Feature request to a Bug.

It is associated with a raft of other issues to do with timer wakeup and shut down afterwards not working as expected.
