Network Browser crashes / stalls on non sharing hosts

Issue #157 duplicate
IanSav created an issue

When you perform a scan in the "Browse network neighbourhood" UI when you have other hosts with Samba shares you should get a list of Samba hosts on your network. If you select an entry in the list you are prompted to "Press OK to expand this host". The list of hosts found during a scan appears to include many devices that are not even offering shares! My SIP phones and home automation C-Bus controller are included on my list. When pressing OK to explore some of these non sharing hosts I usually crash Enigma!!!

Pressing OK does NOT expand the host yet the prompt text changes to say "Press OK to collapse this host". There is no way to actually browse the shares available on these hosts. This appears to be the same issue as issue #6 .

Update: I just noticed that my router (a Billion 7800VDOX) does expand even though there are no shares available!?!?! There is also one PC that does expand while most of my PCs and NAS devices do not expand. I was delayed in rebooting after trying one of my hosts when the UI spinner appeared and didn't go away. After some considerable delay the T3 did recover. Perhaps the other tests were not fatal I just didn't give the T3 enough time to time out.

Reproduction steps

From live TV press "MENU > Setup > Network > Network Browser". Select any host in the list of found devices. Note the prompt says "Press OK to expand this host". Press OK to expand the host and note that the host is NOT expanded. The prompt does change to "Press OK to collapse this host".

On some hosts when you "Press OK to expand this host" the spinner appears and doesn't go away. The UI becomes unresponsive.

As noted above it appears that Enigma may not have crashed but has entered a long period of non responsiveness.

These are just the symptoms of bug #6. The network browser will correctly show NFS shares or SMB shares exported with security=share

Nowhere in issue 6 is it mentioned that inappropriate hosts are listed in the share list or that selecting some of these hosts may cause the UI to stall or crash!
