Movie Player can't delete empty folder

Empty folders in the Movie Player (MEDIA) can't be deleted.
Reproduction steps
Use MEDIA from live TV to enter the Movie Player.
MENU>Create directory to create an empty folder in the Move Player.
Navigate to highlight the folder in the Movie Player. Press RED Delete. The folder isn't deleted. There's no error message.
Move a recording into the folder, or create a subfolder in it. It can now be deleted.
