Disabling a timer in StatePrepared creates "ghost" recording

Issue #343 open

If a timer is disabled in the TimerEdit screen while it is in StatePrepared state, a "ghost recording is created".

The timer gets disabled but it doesn't tidy up the recording - i.e. an empty recording appears in the media list, one of the tuners gets used and if you try to shutdown, you receive the message that recordings are in progress. However, if you press the REC button, there is no option to Stop recordings. The user report was that tt the end of the original disabled recording time, the tuner gets released and requesting a shutdown no longer prompts you that there are current recordings, but when I tested it, the tuner remained allocated, and I still got the shutdown warning beyond the end of the tuner run time.

Reported in the forum, and confirmed for "once" timers. Repeat timers are likely to have similar problems.

Reproduction steps

With no active recordings, or recordings about to start in the time span of the test timer, create a "once" timer in any convenient manner.

Wait until the timer is in StatePrepared, i.e. its entry in the TimerEdit screen (TIMER from live TV) shows its state as "about to start". StatePrepared starts 0nly 20 seconds before the actual recording start time, so you have to watch the display carefully.

Then in the TimerEdit screen press YELLOW Disable. The timer is disables, but there's still a "ghost recording" as described above.

The timer is shown as disabled in the TimerEdit list. There's no timer shown in the EPG, but if you change to a different broadcaster from the one for the timer, the timer's tuner still shows red for an active recording in the infobar. If you long-press power and select Shutdown, you get warned about active recordings. If you press REC or RED from live TV the recording control menu doesn't have a "stop recording" entry.

Wait until the timer's time expires, then check the recording length; it will be 0 MB, 0:00 recording length. I found that even after the end of the tuner run time, long-POWER, Shutdown showed the "active recordings" warning and the "ghost recording" tuner remained allocated.
