Auto language setup screen has no effect

A forum user reported that MENU>Setup>System>AV setup>Auto language>Prefer AC3 track seemed to have no effect.

When I checked the source code I found that the config variables controlled by Auto language (prefix config.autolanguage) are only referenced in setup.xml and where they are created in Components.UsageConfig. None of the config.autolanguage variables appear to influence the code.

You may want to check the C++ code too.

I have now. Perhaps this should be re-written as an enhancement request for the Auto language settings to apply to other video media apart from DVB.

The auto language settings only apply to DVB content. They are not used for other media, such as MKV or MP4.

To be more specific, the settings are used when parsing the PMT (Program Map Table)
