Setup>System>AV Setup>OSD Position screen does not restore TV on exit

Issue #43 resolved
Peter Urbanec created an issue

The Setup>System>AV Setup>OSD Position screen shows a test pattern on the screen. This test pattern image will remain on the screen even after this setup screen has been exited.

Reproduction steps

  • Setup > System > AV Setup > OSD Position
  • EXIT to TV. Once you display the test pattern, it seems to stick to the screen and won't go away when you return back to live TV. You need to change channels to get rid of the test image.

To fix this, it's probably a good idea to zap back to the current service when this setup screen is exited.

I have simplified this bug to deal only with the fundamental problem. This should make it easier to fix.

This is almost fixed. Pressing the red or exit buttons will restore TV, but pressing green button to save settings still leaves the test pattern on the screen.

I can confirm PeterU's latest update to this issue.

If you use the GREEN button to save the settings the TV image is not restored (as Peter mentioned) and if you re-enter the menu and press RED to cancel it also doesn't recover the TV background. That is, once the TV background is lost it remains lost until you zap to to the same or another channel.
