Direct USB keyboard input in text fields is no longer possible

The keyboard input on some text fields now requires a press of the "text" button on the RCU before any input is accepted from a USB connected keyboard.
On some other fields, it is not possible at all to enter characters from USB keyboard, only digits will be registered and they behave like the digits on the RCU.
Yet, on other text fields, pressing the "text" button will cause a crash.
Reproduction steps
- Go to Setup / TV / EPG settings / EPG Filename
- With old versions of firmware, it was possible to use USB keyboard to directly edit text.
- Current versions of firmware will not respond correctly to letter keys being pressed and will respond to number keys the same as if pressed on RCU It should be possible to just type the filename using a USB keyboard, like in older versions of firmware.

While it isn't indicated (with the normal TEXT icon to the left of the RED button panel) you need to press the TEXT button to enable full keyboard access.
I never understood why the TEXT button is usually required as the remote control and keyboard key codes should be different enough to allow simultaneous operation.
