The optical SPDIF output seems to be active even in standby

Issue #7 wontfix
Peter Urbanec created an issue

The optical SPDIF output seems to be active even in standby. You can tell because there is red light being emitted at all times, visible either directly from the back, reflected onto a wall behind the PVR or even visible through the ventilation holes in the top of the case.

Reproduction steps

Set T3 to Standby, look at SPDIF socket.

Yes bad form to turn off the video outputs but leave the SPDIF alive.

May not be possible to turn this off, so a fallback should nuke the data stream. Failing that option then just mute the audio stream.

Also need to test the analogue audio output during standby. Of course it should be silent.

    It is.

This is a hardware limitation. Apparently even though the SPDIF LED is on, there is no data being output.
