Skip back operation skips right on V2

Issue #729 open
Wade Coxon created an issue

Only affects the V2 as tested so far. Problem is not evident on the U4.

Skipping back using the LEFT or YELLOW buttons within the cutlist editor will actually execute a skip forward operation.

Setting the left skip button value to something other than the default does not fix the problem.

Problem is no evident when skipping back during recording playback.

This has not been fixed (only tested on the V2). LEFT and YELLOW skip forwards, not backwards as intended.

Works for me™, within the limitations of what the V2 drivers can do. In particular, V2 drivers do not have full support for trick play. Seeking a paused stream does not appear to be supported on the V2. Seeking in a playing stream works correctly.

Can you please detail your test methodology?

Ok, your comment about the paused stream is probably relevant then.

To reproduce this, I just need to open the Cutlist editor, and press the RIGHT key a few times to advance the playback pointer into the recording to around 30-40 seconds. If I then press the LEFT button to skip back, the pointer instead advances forward as if I had pressed the RIGHT button.

The T and U series do not do this, and the LEFT button functions as expected.

I recall that adoxa wrote a patch some time back that turned pause into a slowslow play mode that was “paused enough” so that trick play would function. I am not sure if that was for cutlist editor, or extended to it or not.

PausedSkip works for both normal play and the editor. I haven’t tested it with this change, yet, but I expect it will still work.
