Improve Audio Description handling in setup wizard

Issue #758 resolved
prl created an issue

The improvements suggested in issue #757 leave one problem in the setup wizard - that the changes proposed there pre-set the preference for audio tracks to non-Audio Described tracks, and a user who prefers an AD track has no opportunity in the setup wizard to set the language preference for AD soundtracks.

An additional setup wizard screen could be added to allow a user who prefers non-AD soundtracks to confirm that with a single OK remote press, and allow users who prefer AD soundtracks to indicate that preference and prevent unwanted non-AD soundtracks being stored per channel before they have the opportunity to change the language preference to AD soundtracks.

One of the design goals for the Beyonwiz firmware is to simplify the initial installation as much as possible. This means the least number of screens and questions in the initial setup wizard.

The preferred approach is to provide sensible defaults that meet the usage patterns of the majority of users. Users that wish to configure their system differently should have the ability to do this post-installation.

Whether the best approach to switching AD on/off on a global scale is a wizard a plugin or a configuration screen, the mechanism should be made available in the user interface in a place other than the initial setup.

The reason that I suggested this additional screen is in my original issue: “a user who prefers an AD track has no opportunity in the setup wizard to set the language preference for AD soundtracks“. That means that if they chose a channel with an AD track as their first channel after setup, that channel will be pre-selected to have the non-AD soundtrack. Similarly for any other channels that they chose before they configure the Auto language selection to be Audio described. That setting is also in a somewhat obscure location.

Without this setup screen, a user who wants to prefer AD soundtracks and who wants to avoid having to change soundtracks manually after initial setup needs to select a channel with no AD soundtrack in the initial channel selection after setup and go to MENU>Setup>TV>Auto language and setlect Audio description as an Auto language selection without having visited any channels with AD soundtracks in the meantime.

That doesn’t sound particularly user-friendly to me, either.

Having the setup screen allows both users who prefer non-AD and AD soundtracks to have the PVR configured correctly for that from the start.
