MENU UI shows UP/DOWN icons on hidden columns

The MENU button UI shows the UP / DOWN UI prompts to scroll columns that are longer than the screen size but are currently hidden. That is, the scroll UI prompts are not hidden with the rest of the column.

reference to attachment MENU-Setup.jpg (The Setup menu column is active and the Sources column is hidden yet the scroll arrows are still displayed)
I am not even sure why the columns are hidden when they are not active. The cell highlight indicates the active control.
