I disagree about the High priority. Production T3s should be delivered with a formatted HDD already installed. For those who want to do a post-purchase HDD upgrade/replacement can use the existing format through MENU>Setup.

Given the problems that an unformatted disk is creating out in the user base I think the priority of this request should be High as a minimum. There is reason that Critical may also be appropriate.
It would also be appropriate that some pop up error messages indicating that the hard disk drive is not formatted be created to alert users of this situation rather than having recordings silently fail.

Should the startup sequence also do this?
