assigned issue to
search for publications in Google Scholar
If a publication has no documents or URL attached, it would be nice to find the document on the web more easily. Currently, I typically do this by copying the title and searching in Google Scholar. It would be very helpful, if we could add a link to the post that does this.

reporter Thanks for the implementation. I have some suggestions for improvement:
- Please search only for the title. Currently, the first author's last name is appended. This is not helpful - on the contrary, some services don't find the publication now.
- Please remove DBLP. It's too specific (only for computer science).
- Please change World Cat to WorldCat (without space).
- Please add a field description to the left of the input box and align it properly. Discuss with @seboettg - he's in charge of the layout.
- I think the correct name for the service from Microsoft is "Microsoft Academic Search".

Account Deleted I changed the things you mentioned. Is it better now?
-
reporter Thanks, much better! Still, two remarks
- "Search on" should be written lower-case in the English version to align it with the other keys in the table.
- Does it also work on tablets? Without an explicit button it might be problematic.
-
Account Deleted I changed "Search on" to "search on". Unfortunately, i do not have the possibility to check whether it works with tablets. I could of course add the button again, but how would i align it properly? Just put it next to the dropdown menu?

Currently this does not work in Safari.
Chrom(e|ium) blocks the new page (pop-up blocker)
-
reporter Thanks for the quick response. I think you can put it next to the dropdown menu, as before. Another option would be, to use links and not a dropdown menu. This would probably also solve the blocking in Chrome. What was the rationale behind not using links?
There was also a good suggestion by a user in the blog: could you please add BASE as search option?
Thanks!

Account Deleted The BASE option is now available.
Safari seems to block window.open events which do not originate from a click on a button, thus it will hopefully also work now (at least it does in the "Safari for Windows" version).
There is no apparent reason for using the dropdown menu in my opinion. Do you prefer links over it?

When we switch to bootstrap there is a nice menu class we should use (without a button).
